For years climate talks have been dominated by corporations, governments and global institutions. It’s time for those most affected by global warming—farmers and peasants around the world—to have their voices heard.
Here is how you can share your video story on climate and agriculture:
1. Make a short (2–3 minute) video using a cell phone, computer camera or other digital video recorder. Tell us how climate change is affecting you and your community. Tell us how global warming is impacting your ability to grow food. Tell us how your actions are contributing to reversing global warming. Share what is important to you about climate and agriculture.
2. Connect your camera to a computer with Internet access or just upload the video file from your computer.
3. Click on Add your story to (1) upload your video file and (2) complete a form to tell us:
Author information: First name, last name and email—these are required to add the video to our server. We will not share your email. It is needed only in case we need to contact you.
Location: Your city, state/province and country will be used to locate your video on the map, but we are happy to have the other details as well.
Tags: Select as many of the categories in the two lists that come closest to the focus of your story.
Select Language: Select the language you spoke in on the video. Select "other" if your language is not available.
Save: Click save and the video file and this form will be loaded to IATP’s server. If you don’t save, your video will not be added to the site.
We’ll review and edit your video for length if it needs to be cut down and then add it to the Voices of Agriculture page via our YouTube account. By submitting a video you agree to allow IATP to share your story with the public for noncommercial use. IATP will not intentionally share or give away copies of your video. We reserve the right to not show your video.
